Other people's stories...

A few days ago I saw a snippet on the BBC website about a woman who had done something rather different with her Great-Grandfather's memories from his World War One photos and memoirs. She has taught herself how to animate and has created a film using the memories of her ancestor. The film has been taken on by the Imperial War Museum for one of their exhibits.
I think this is a great story of how someone else is trying to remember their relative and share their story in a similar way to us. This made me think of all the other people that must have memoirs, diaries, photos and letters from wartime, both from those who fought, and those that stayed at home that should be shared if possible. The more we learn from history, the less likely we are to make the same mistakes.
